During our visit to Zink Foodservice’s new facility, one piece of equipment stood out immediately.
Chef Ray Caprari could not help but spend time checking out a mobile prep cart by Metro.
This was not just another workstation on the floor. The mobile prep station combines a solid work surface
with integrated shelving and mobility, making it a practical solution for busy kitchens where space and efficiency matter.
Chef Ray appreciated how easily the cart could be positioned exactly where prep work was happening.
Instead of forcing staff to move back and forth across the kitchen, the workstation comes to them,
keeping ingredients, tools, and workspace within reach.
The Instagram video featuring this mobile prep station has seen exceptional engagement, with chefs and operators reacting,
commenting, and sharing. That level of response reflects a real need in today’s kitchens for equipment that adapts to changing workflows.
Mobile prep stations like this one help kitchens stay flexible during peak service, prep shifts, catering operations,
and menu changes. The added storage helps keep supplies organized, while the open design supports efficient prep without adding clutter.
